One Day

ONE DAY

One day, I’ll make more money

One day, I’ll wear that dress

One day, I’ll take care of myself

One day, I’ll stop being a mess

—–

One day, I’ll be strong

One day, I’ll be free

One day, I’ll be more patient

One day, I’ll take you seriously

—–

One day, I’ll have more fun

One day, I’ll keep in touch

One day, I’ll make more friends

One day, I won’t stress so much

—–

One day, I’ll go to the gym

One day, I’ll play more with my kids

One day, I’ll take them to that place

One day, I’ll forgive

—–

I need to stop saying one day and change it to today, cause before I know it

One Day, I’ll pass away

Great song, thank you. I like the part that says God didn’t make me for sitting on the sidelines. Very powerful. Yes, let’s make it our year of doing things now instead of later. I like a quote by Steve Jobs that “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Thank you for all your support and love, miss you too.

Ugh…didn’t get to finish my reply.

So many people can relate to this and I’m definitely one of them. Insecurities, fear and anxiety are what hold me back most of the time. I try to overcome all of these and am so thankful to have people who love and support me. Still, it’s hard. I probably spend more time thinking about what I want to do than actually doing it. One thing I have to remember is in order to be good for others, I have to be good for myself and take care of myself. I struggle with that quite often. I hope this is our year for our “One Day.” Miss you.

I’m constantly putting things off- and I really need to change that.

Yes, change something to today, even if it is one thing you put off, you will feel so much better! I am about to go work out and that is something I have been putting off forever! Thanks for reading & commenting!

What a great poem and so true that we can start making changes now. Why wait? 🙂

Thank you. You are right, why wait, the only person stopping us is ourselves.

Thank you for the nomination! (I’ve never been nominated before-blushing) I’m glad you liked the poem. I have been feeling that way for a while, so I was trying to give myself a kick in the pants. I’ve been working on some of the things I always put off, better than nothing!

yes – keep working on it! regroup if you need to and then push forward!

That is so true, but I’m bad about putting things off, too. It caused that little lump in my throat that always happens when I am touched by something. Thank you!

Thanks for your comment,Amberr. It makes me feel good knowing that I am not alone in my feelings. I have to constantly remind myself of what is important and handle it now, everything else can wait! I tend to do the opposite, fill my day with unimportant things and put off the things that will take some time, but will be worth it down the road. I’m making the switcharoo!
